How electricity markets are evolving with the changing generation mix is studied. China 2050 High Renewable Energy Penetration Roadmap are empirically analysed. A multi-period Nash-Cournot model is established to study the market equilibrium. Energy storages are analysed and compared to reveal their impacts on the equilibrium.
