A comparison of solar PV/T system, solar PV system and solar thermal system was done. The presence of aluminium increases the embodied energy and embodied CO2 emission. The payback period was less than 3.5 years for the solar PV/T system. The B/C ratio of stand-alone solar PV system was less than 1. The unit cost of energy was calculated to be $0.04 USD/kW h for the solar PV/T system.
