A circular ramp overtopping type wave energy converter is proposed. Experiments under the regular wave conditions were carried out for the preliminary study. Wave overtopping behaviors on the reservoir with and without guide vanes are presented. Effects of wave conditions, crest freeboard, number and orientation of guide vanes on overtopping discharges are analyzed.
