Experimental investigation on CO2 absorption in Sulfinol-M based Fe3O4 and MWCNT nanofluids

CO2 absorption in the Fe3O4 and MWCNT nanofluids were measured and compared. Effects of nanoparticle type, nanoparticle concentration and initial pressure of CO2 were investigated. CO2 absorption amount and also the CO2 absorption rate increased with the presence of nanoparticles in the solvent. Mechanisms of CO2 absorption rate enhancement and equilibrium solubility enhancement are discussed.
