Coliprotec® F4 administered in drinking water prevented post-weaning diarrhea in pigs. Clinical protection was induced within a week and last for at least 3 weeks following vaccination. Coliprotec® F4 reduced colonization and fecal shedding of F4-ETEC and resulted in heavier pigs. A partial protection was observed after an early challenge at 3 days post-vaccination. Coliprotec® F4 elicited serum and intestinal secretory anti-F4 IgM and IgA.
