ISW and vessel surge are considered in hang-off drilling riser dynamics. The preconditioned GMRES algorithm is adopted in FEM calculation. ISW and vessel motion can increase envelopes of riser deformation and stress. ISW can largely enlarge the range of lateral deviation at the bottom of a riser. It's important to avoid collision between riser bottom and other subsea equipment.
