The focus is on the environmental sustainability pillar of the T&T Competitiveness Index. The factor-analytic methodology deals with missing data. Using opinion and environmental data together is problematic. The new environmental sustainability index (TTESI) is reliable. This methodology can be applied to check the reliability of other indices.
