A reflex myoclonic seizure was recorded by simultaneous magnetoencephalography (MEG) and electroencephalography (EEG) when a generalized spike–wave synchronous pattern at 3 Hz was observed.

The present study demonstrates that the origin of epileptiform activity in JME can be localized in brain areas associated with the premotor frontal cortex.
