Efficient synthesis of functional long-chain alkyl disulfides under liquid-liquid phase-transfer catalysis: The analysis of chemical equilibrium and phase-transfer mechanism
Functional disulfides were directly synthesized under liquid-liquid phase-transfer catalysis. Product purity was mainly controlled by feeding ratio of S/Na2S via a chemical equilibrium. Binding capability with dimethyldidodecylammonium cation is in the order of S2 − < S22 − < S32 −. Binding capability and concentration of sulfur anions determine the phase-transfer priority.
