Background: Bradyasystolic episodes are frequently observed in patients who present with presyncope, syncope, or sudden cardiac death to emergency departments. Current therapeutic modalities in treating patients with bradyasystolic episodes include pharmacotherapeutic agents (eg, atropine, epinephrine, and dopamine) and cardiac pacing.
