22 genotypes of oranges were evaluated for carotenoids, color and antioxidant capacity. Xanthophylls were the predominant carotenoids (ca. 90%) in most genotypes. Cara Cara accumulates mainly carotenes, Rohde late and Ambersweet high levels of β-cryptoxanthin. The correlation coefficients of TEAC vs color coordinates were no significant. The samples could be correctly differentiated (> 90%) by Linear Discriminant Analysis.
