The excess values of VME, αpE, nE and ηE for 1,4-dioxin and 1,2-ethanediol or 1,3-propanediol binary mixtures are reported. The negative VME and positive values of nE indicate the packing effect in the mixtures. The negative values of ηE indicate the week interaction between components. The interaction between components become weaker with decrease of temperature. Different models were successfully applied to predict the viscosity and refractive index values.
