Trypanosoma evansi reduces the cell viability in liver tissue. Achyrocline satureioides loaded in nanocapsules prevents the hepatic cytotoxic damage. Reactive oxygen species and nitric oxide levels contribute to hepatic cytotoxic damage. A. satureioides loaded in nanocapsules reduces the seric reactive oxygen species levels. Protective effect of A. satureioides might be related to antioxidant properties.
