Oxidovanadium(IV) interacted with baicalin through the phenoxide anions. Consequent improvement of the antioxidant effects by coordination. Oxidative stress mechanism in the cancer cell-killing activity of the complex. Suppression of the anticancer effect by non-enzymatic antioxidants. Ligand and complex could be transported and stored by bovine serum albumin.
