Dynamic interactions occur between a ground heat exchanger, soil and atmosphere. An earth-liquid heat exchanger is more efficient than an earth-air heat exchanger. Heat transfer through a ground heat exchanger increases with soil moisture. The thermal resistance of a plastic earth-liquid heat exchanger cannot be ignored. An earth-liquid heat exchanger can be simulated with a small section or unit length.
