A correlation between the ITL thickness and device performance in blue PHOLEDs in a QW structure was investigated. Device with the 5-nm-thick TAPC ITL showed better efficiencies in contrast with all other devices. The QW prevented triplet loss to non-radiative sides in the EML. The ITL thickness in EML had an effective influence on the width and location of the RZ and ED.
