CFDCST columns offer high strength, ductility, stiffness and toughness properties. Two different concrete classes can be employed in a CFDCST column section. Mechanical properties of the inner steel tube are fully exploited in CFDCST columns. Outer steel tube has the greatest influence on the CFDCST column strength. Repaired CFST column behaviour is very close to that of intact CFDCST counterpart.
