The dominant way of remediation in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine does not prevent a metal spread through the decades. Pb, Zn, Ba, and Cu concentrations were found exceeding the abundances in the Earth's soils tens and even hundreds times. The increased metal content in soils is clearly marked at the distance up to 30 km with the prevailing wind direction. The proposed insulation method with polyethylene and polypropylene allows preventing pollution.
