A two-dimensional online SPE/LC–MS/MS method was developed for the analysis of six carcinogenic primary aromatic amines. Rapid and simultaneous analysis of six aromatic amines in mainstream cigarette smoke with high selectivity was achieved. Minimum manual procedures and low errors were involved in sample pretreatment. The proposed method has the merits of full automation, high sensitivity, excellent precision and high-throughput.
