A method for evaluating solar irradiance over façades in building cities with mutual shading. It calculates irradiance curves in all building façades, using LiDAR and irradiance information. Solar irradiation maps of the city buildings are really important for urban planning. It allows to selection BIPV elements depending of the irradiation in each façade point. The model can be extrapolated to all the building envelope.
