Nano-structural variation of highly aligned anodic Titania nanotube arrays for gas phase photocatalytic application

Highly aligned TiO2 NTs have been grown on titanium sheet by anodic oxidation method at different potentials in NH4F and EG based electrolyte. Two sets of TiO2 NTs have been fabricated with and without using cooling systems. The temperature has been maintained to 25 °C by using water based cooling system. The photo-decomposition of methanol has been evaluated by FTIR spectrometer in cylindrical glass cell, which contains the TiO2 NTs. The TiO2 NT with 54 V shows highest catalytic activity due to its strong rutile phase and large number of TiO2 NTs remain in same area.
