Pure Ni, Ni-μAl and Ni-nAl composite coatings have been produced by electrodeposition. The deposits have been heat-treated at 400, 600 and 800oC. Diffusion of Al starts at 600oC for the Ni/μAl and 400oC for the Ni/nAl Formation of intermetallic phases after H.T. interfears with the Ni recrystallization The composite deposits present higher hardness after H.T.
