We model double-pulse laser ablation of aluminum using microscopic and macroscopic approaches. Both methods show decrease in depth of crater with increasing delay between pulses. Both methods reveal the plume temperature growth with the increasing delay. Good agreement between results is a step towards the development of combined model.
