No-till pioneers areas recovered fully or close to 92% of C stock in relation to NV.
Lower recovery of C stock was verified under no-till with predominance of soybean.
The continuous input of crop residue recovered the original C stock in shallow layer.
The increase in SOC in deep layers was associate to crop rotation and long-term NT.
