MoO3 thin films have been synthesized by spray pyrolysis technique. Uv-Vis measurements are performed over a wavelength range of 190–2500 nm. Clear changes in the UV-Vis absorption spectrum for the MoO3 thin film. The absorption spectra are fitted using the Lorentz model. The effect of illuminating changes the color from light blue to deep blue.
