From the lipophilic exudate found on leaves and stems of Helichrysum cassianum six flavonoid aglycones have been identified, including a new natural polymethoxy flavone, 3,5-dihydroxy-6,7,8,4′-tetramethoxyflavone. A further non-polar component was identified as α-terthienyl.
