A correlation developed to predict solids holdup in pneumatic conveying flow regime.

Dimensionless quantities describing hydrodynamics of gas fluidised beds were used.

Reduced solids flux phenomenon in risers was directly included in the correlation.

The correlation predicted 90% of the experimental data with a mean deviation of 15%.

The correlation is applicable for particle Reynolds numbers between 3.7 and 366.
