Mineral phase transformation of MSWI fly ash was studied for estimating LOI. Mineral phases of MSWI fly ash were obviously affected by ignition temperature. The major mineral phase transformations occurred between 440 °C and 700 °C. Both ignition condition and co-existing elements affected the transformation. The recommended condition for LOI measurement of MSWI fly ash is 440 °C/2 h.
