Structural functionality of Hoffa's fat pad (IFP) within knee joint is investigated. Computational micro-models of IFP and other fat tissues are developed. Computational analyses of tissue mechanics suggest the actual IFP mechanical role. Contributions of sub-components to the overall IFP functionality are elucidated.
