We examined the foraging behavior of cattle utilizing Mediterranean oak woodland. Cattle showed an overall preference for wooded areas. Behavior responded to seasonal changes in biotic and abiotic factors. During spring, cattle preferred garrigue vegetation and avoided dense woodland. Cattle at high density increased use of woody vegetation and less favorable areas.
