Addition of K promotor to Pt/mullite enhances the TOF of RWGS reaction by 7 times. The interaction between Pt and KOx at the interface alters the chemical state of Pt. The presence of K promotes the formation and decomposition of formate intermediates. The presence of K weakens the strength of CO adsorption on Pt.
