Numerical simulation of spray combustion is performed in a jet stabilized combustor. The numerical models are validated against experimental data. The combustion characteristics are affected by the intensity of recirculation zone. Increasing the stabilizer jet, significantly reduces the NO emissions. The minimum level of NO emission is achieved by injecting air in the downstream direction.
