Repeated ASE treatment did not induce FosB/ΔFosB expression in the PVN. Combination of ASE with CMS or CMS itself, elicited distinct FosB/ΔFosB expression in the PVN. ASE did not potentiate or attenuate FosB/ΔFosB expression induced by CMS. CMS induced FosB/ΔFosB expression in the PVN CRH perikarya. ASE and CMS + ASE activated FosB/ΔFosB expression in OXY and AVP perikarya in the PVN posterior sector.
