For Astroides calycularis reefs restoration/rehabilitation is feasible. Colonies dislodged by casualties are an environmental friendly resource. Transplanting fragmented dislodged colonies is the most effective restoration method. Producing novel colonies from fragments reduces burden on wild populations.
