Freak waves in GaAs semiconductor

The nonlinear freak wave in electron-hole quantum GaAs semiconductor plasma is investigated via a nonlinear Schr枚dinger equation (NLS) equation. The latter contains the contributions of the electron and hole quantum recoil effects, quantum statistical pressures, as well as exchange and correlation effects. Typical values for GaAs semiconductor are used to estimate the profile of the nonlinear freak waves.
