Centrifuge experiments were conducted on underground reservoir structures in sand.

Class-C and C1 nonlinear finite element analyses of centrifuge tests were evaluated.

User-defined modulus reduction curves were corrected for implied shear strength.

Class-C predictions overestimated soil stiffness and response at higher frequencies.

Class-C1 predictions with user-defined modulus reduction captured the response well.
