We examined white matter (WM) properties, attention-control capacity, and intelligence. WM properties between the orbitofrontal and anterior cingulate cortexes were evaluated. Fractional anisotropy (FA) in this region was associated with attention-control and intelligence. Hierarchical regression revealed that FA and attention-control contributed to intelligence variances. WM connections in this region can support a relationship of attention-control and intelligence.
