The Weilasituo Sn-W-Rb deposit is the largest porphyry-type Sn-polymetallic deposit discovered so far in NE China.
The in situ LA-MC-ICP-MS U-Pb dating of cassiterite from the disseminated and vein-type mineralization yields two well-defined isochron ages of 138 ± 6 Ma and 135 ± 6 Ma.
The quartz porphyry is a highly fractionated I-type granite with a characteristic of REE tetrad effect. The Sn mineralization at Weilasituo was resulted from fractional crystallization of the quartz porphyry.
