Interaction of amphetamine (AA) with the pristine, and impurity doped C60 is studied. AA cycloaddition to the [6–6] bonds of C60 is more favorable than the [5–6] ones. The Si and Ge–C60 fullerenes are work function-type sensor for AA drug.
