The present study examined the executive function and cortical connectivity in autism. The executive function deficits and functioning levels of the children with autism were differentially affected and associated with the cortical connectivity in these children. The results of this study have shed light on the neurophysiological underpinnings of the cognitive impairments and behavioral symptoms associated with autism.
