Local scale slope winds and boundary layer structure simulated with WRF over hilly station Gadanki Observations of Wind Profiler, Met Tower, Sonic Anemometer used for comparison Slope winds are found more predominantly during winter night times compared to monsoon season. Deeper mixed layers simulated in monsoon relative to winter due to stronger heating and convective instability While TKE-based schemes produced extremities, K-profile schemes simulated the PBL characteristics well.
