Ultrasonic irradiation-assisted synthesis of Bi2S3 nanoparticles in aqueous ionic liquid at ambient condition

Intermittent sonochemical synthesis was used to prepare Bi2S3 at ambient conditions. 20% [EMIM][EtSO4] ionic liquid solution was the optimum to prepared the compound. Crystal structure was investigated by XRD, RAMAN, SEM and TEM. The energy band gap (Eg) obtained was 1.5 eV.
