United Kingdom is set to undergo a large gas supply transformation. Three potential gas mix scenarios were developed based on supply trends. A consequential life cycle approach was taken to examine the evolving gas supply. Upstream emissions were seen to rise substantially for all gas supply scenarios. High shale gas mix resulted in greatest emissions due to low influx of biomethane.
