Examined the fault damage zones of two differently oriented contemporaneous fault populations.
The dominant fracture set strikes parallel or sub parallel to the fault.
The fractures in the damage zones are formed by local stress.
Architecture including the widths of the fault damage zones has been established on the basis of fracture density, orientation and spacing collected along the scanlines across the normal faults.
Width of damage zone is larger at the middle of the fault than at the fault ends.
