Control and maximum power tracking operation of hybrid excited variable speed induction generator

A variable speed induction generator based DC Micro grid system with hybrid excitation is studied. All possible operating conditions are formulated with focus even on rarely occurring conditions like machine stall. The system aims to achieve voltage regulation, maximum power tracking (MPT) and power transfer at all conditions. A supervisory control is employed to effect the proposed simple control scheme to achieve the above mentioned objectives. The dynamic performance is investigated experimentally to confirm the efficacious working of the system.
