The flow characteristics in a FCSMC pipe flow unit equipped with VGs were studied. The effect of streamwise vortices was investigated. The optimal pipe flow unit structures (staggered arrangement, S=20 mm) were obtained. Flotation experiments validated the effect of the novel pipe flow unit to recovery of fine-grained minerals.
