MDR clinical isolate Elizabethkingia miricola EM_CHUV core genome harbours 40 resistance genes. Large majority of the resistance genes are found in other Elizabethkingia genomes. Identified putative plasmid (pEM_CHUV) did not harbour any resistance genes. Limited number of horizontal gene transfers suggested an intrinsic origin of the MDR.
