A behavioural model of utility maximization under MLA in an ultimatum two-player game framework is proposed for EV-owners. An application to EV-owner charging decisions is designed, with the focus on proposing a discount to postpone charging. Treatment of MLA behaviour with contract framing directs EV-owners’ decisions towards optimal values. EV-owners are open towards centralized smart-grid strategies. Smart-grid strategies can optimize the load on the electricity grid from a system optimum perspective.
