Enhanced oral bioavailability of [6]-Gingerol-SMEDDS: Preparation, in vitro and in vivo evaluation

An effective method for isolating [6]-Gingerol from ginger was established. An optimal formulation of [6]-Gingerol-loaded-SMEDDS was successfully developed. In vitro release profile of [6]-Gingerol from SMEDDS was significantly enhanced. The SMEDDS effectively improved the oral bioavailability of [6]-Gingerol.
