Jaboticaba peel tea (JPT) is rich source of bioactive compounds. JPT has great antioxidant potential. Anthocyanins and tannins were identified and quantified in JPT. JPT color is stable in refrigerated storage for up to 72 h, which is indicative of bioactive compound preservation. JPT is a simple way to obtain a good source of functional substances from the jaboticaba fruit.
